1. Sunset Stroll on Zattere
No other city can match Venice when it comes to walking, and the most beautiful stroll has to be an evening promenade along the Zattere quay. Couple can begin walking to the Zattere vaporetto stop, where several cafés have delightful terraces overlooking the Giudecca Canal – it is the perfect place for an early evening Venetian aperitif. Then walk towards the Bacino di San Marco, passing the extravagant rococo façade of the Gesuati church and admiring Palladio’s famed Church of Il Redentore on the island of Giudecca.

As the sun is setting, couple arrive at the end of the Zattere, the Punta della Dogana, for the ultimate Venetian panorama: the palaces of the Grand Canal, Piazza San Marco and the Palazzo Ducale, and the tall spire of San Giorgio Maggiore church.

2.       San Trovosa Gondola Workshop
Gondola is the symbol of Venice and yet, not many artisans are still practicing the skill to build Gondola. So, it is worth it for couple during their Venice honeymoon to visit San Trovosa Gondola Workshop as one of the last surviving Gondola workshops in the city.

3.       Modern Art at Guggenheim
The Guggenheim Foundation houses one of the finest collections of 20th-century art in the world – Picasso, Klee, Max Ernst and Giacometti are just a few of the artists represented. But the museum is more than its collection – a shady garden to relax in, a delightful café restaurant, engaging temporary exhibitions, and the chance to sit out on a terrace overlooking the Grand Canal all make it an enchanting place for couple to visit.

4.       Taking the Tragehetto
First-time couples to Venice can never resist the lure of a romantic ride in a gondola.  But to feel more like a real Venetian, take a gondola as the locals do, by using a traghetto. There are several traghetto routes crossing the Grand Canal, but the two that are most fun are at the Rialto fish market, where little old ladies hug huge shopping bags, or by the Gritti Palace Hotel
